This exciting new version of the Man of Steel is a must-have for collectors of contemporary toy design, as well as fans of Superman.
Three unique versions of Superman are available - the classic version in her traditional blue and red outfit and, based on the popular event "The Death and Return of Superman," the Cyborg variant and the Kryptonian Life-Suit variant!
Don't miss out! These toys are extremely limited and once they are sold out, DC Direct will not produce these styles again! This set contains one each of:
Aquaman (Armored) 7.25”: The Armory version of Aquaman is girded in golden armor and armed with a large three-pronged trident. Appropriately nautical, Aquaman’s armor is designed with a vaguely crustacean look, complete with a row of backswept antennae-like protuberances arranged in the semblance of a cape. Undoubtedly this new look will cause the jealous Black Manta to devise a way to look more like a sea monster.
Batman (Armored) 6.75”: Styled according to Batman’s blue/grey color scheme, Armory Batman’s armor is heavily scalloped and mechanized-looking---vaguely similar to something one might see among the modern Masters of the Universe characters. The armor is emblazoned with a simplified bat emblem and outfitted with what looks to be a standard model utility belt.
Flamebird 6”: This version of Flamebird features identity-concealing, lithely-constructed black and red armor mounted with a pair of shrike-like, golden-membrane wings. The winged Flamebird, gold-cast, is displayed throughout the armor design. This would presumably be the Kara Zor-El version of the Flamebird persona, developed as a means to combat the criminal element in the city of Kandor.
Nightwing 6”: Similar to the red and black Flamebird armor, the Nightwing armor is darker and mounted with a massive, outcropping pair of arch-ribbed bat’s wings. This would presumably be the Kara Zor-El version of the Nightwing persona, adopted in addition to the Flamebird persona and developed as a means to combat the criminal element in the city of Kandor. Price: $19.99 | Kingdom Come Batman, now in his twilight years, is remanded to an exoskeleton suit. By this point Batman’s identity has been revealed, and Wayne Manner subsequently destroyed by Bane and Two-Face, causing Batman to make the Batcave his home. His battle armor, somewhat similar to the bulky robot drones used to police Gotham City, features an elaborate flight pack and intricately jointed metal wings.
The Alan Scott version of Green Lantern had spent years in his space fortress, watching for an alien assault that never arrived, before returning to Earth and joining Superman’s Justice League. This version of the Green Lantern is equipped with a massive sword and semi-translucent green armor featuring a built-in version of the battery lantern.
Being an Amazon, Wonder Woman’s aging process is somewhat restrained; her costume is essential the same with a star-spangled breechcloth added on. This version of Wonder Woman, exiled from Paradise Island, is now a core member of Superman’s Justice League and shows a tendency to be slightly more militant than her mainstream counterpart.
Clad in a darker stylized version of his costume, this version of Superman is sustained by a slowed aging rate. Superman is recruited from his self-exile and returned to a world in which superheroes the likes of Magog have taken his place. Joined by the remainder of his Justice League, Superman slowly brings order to chaos, recruiting a few of the rampaging superheroes and imprisoning the rest. Price: $29.99 |
